Riga Set to Host the Premier Deep Tech Industry Conference - Deep Tech Atelier 2024

Natron Energy achieves first commercial-scale production of sodium-ion batteries

Natron Energy, Inc. Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck opens drone factory and development hub of German manufacturer Quantum Systems during delegation trip to Ukraine

On the occasion of a delegation trip to Ukraine, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck opened the new production facility of Quantum-Systems GmbH in Ukraine. The plant opening took place on 18 April in the presence of the Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industry, Oleksandr Kamyshin, and the Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defence, Ivan Hawryliuk. 

With a strategic investment from Baker Hughes, Elcogen closes its current funding round for scaling of its solid oxide technology for hydrogen

Elcogen, a European manufacturer of technology that enables delivery of efficient, affordable green hydrogen and electricity, is pleased to announce that Baker Hughes has made a strategic investment in the Company.

Combined with equity investment from Hydrogen One Capital Growth plc, HD Hyundai and Mirae, as well as project grants from the European Commission, including an IPCEI project, totalling more than €24m, and a proposed debt of €15m, Elcogen has now raised more than €140m for the continuous development and scaling of its market leading solid oxide technology, enabling affordable green hydrogen and accelerating the energy transition.

Suomen Lantakaasu Oy advancing biogas plant investments in North Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia and South Ostrobothnia

The Valio and St1 joint venture Suomen Lantakaasu Oy is exploring the implementation of new biogas plant complexes in several areas. The construction of possible new plant complexes is now being explored in the Kokkola-Pietarsaari, Nivala-Haapavesi and South Ostrobothnia regions. Along with the existing planned plant complexes, Suomen Lantakaasu Oy is progressing towards its production target of one terawatt-hour by 2030.

Who’s the Greenest of Them All? Green NCAP Launches New Life Cycle Assessment Award

Today, Green NCAP launches the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) award to highlight five-star cars with the lowest impact on the climate over their complete vehicle life.  This is the first time that the organisation rewards cars based on their Life Cycle Assessment results.  Four cars have been given the LCA Award: the Dacia Spring, the ORA Funky Cat, Renault’s electric Megane E-Tech, and the Tesla Model 3.

"Unlocking private capital for social good in Central & Eastern Europe" is a comprehensive analysis of the research conducted by the Social Impact Alliance for Central & Eastern Europe (an independent, apolitical think tank) between 2020 and 2023 in collaboration with more than 230 key stakeholders and decision-makers in 11 countries of Central and Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. The quantitative research was expanded to Ukraine.
