Green NCAP announces its first Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) results, examining the real environmental impact of some of Europe’s most popular cars in order to help car buyers make more informed and sustainable choices.
To understand the true ecological impact and sustainability of a car, it must be viewed in the context of its whole life cycle. This means that all processes and flows of resources and energy associated with the car’s production, usage, and recycling must be considered. Life Cycle Assessment, or LCA, is the method that estimates these individual contributions to predict the car’s environmental impact over its entire lifetime ‘from cradle to grave’.
The Danish Port of Aarhus has chosen PowerCon as the turnkey supplier of the new shore power system for the Cruise Port. Shore Link is proud to be part of this package with our advantaged CMS Cruiser.
The Cable Management Systems for cruise vessels (CMS Cruiser) is a separate unit designed to supply shore power for cruise vessels when at berth. The Shore Link`s CMS Cruiser is ideal when it comes to connecting cruise vessels to shore power in a port with limited space such as in the Port of Aarhus. The CMS Cruiser have major benefits such as:
The world’s most anticipated electric boat has completed its maiden flight. The foiling Candela C-8 promises to disrupt the gas-guzzling powerboat industry, thanks to a unique combination of long all-electric range, high speed, and industry-first features.
After 16 months of intense development, the most ordered electric boat ever took off from the cold waters outside the Swedish tech company’s headquarters at Lidingö, Stockholm.
After reaching its designed take-off speed of 16 knots, the Candela C-8 prototype P-01 lifted off smoothly, and flew noiselessly above the water at a cruise speed of 20 knots.
-Smooth, and very, very silent, said Gustav Hasselskog, Candela’s CEO after piloting the C-8 on its maiden flight.

Podracer is a vehicle from Star Wars film The Phantom Menace. It moves fast near the surface and have a high maneuverability. This is exactly what Jetson´s electric aircraft looks.
Jetson´s weight is 86 kg and it can carry up to 95 kg passenger. It fliews 20 minutes with 85 kg pilot weight. Top speed is 102 km/h, but it is software limited, not the actual limit of engines.
It is all ready fligfht machine and can be purchased for 85 000 euros. Yes, far more than mid-class vehicle. But at 100 km/h, you can reach any corner of city in 20 minutes.
And it´s cool. It looks exactly like a "Star Wars" podracer.

ABB E-mobility to develop and supply MegaWatt fast charging infrastructure for the all-electric 7-Seater Lilium Jet
ABB E-mobility and Lilium N.V. positioned to be a global leader in regional electric air mobility, have announced plans for ABB to provide the charging infrastructure for Lilium’s high speed regional air network, scheduled for commercial launch in 2024. Lilium has announced planned launch networks in Florida, Germany, and Brazil. As part of the agreement, ABB will develop, test and supply the MegaWatt fast charging infrastructure necessary for the quick turnaround times needed for electric aviation. The ABB charging points are designed to be capable of fully charging batteries in approximately 30 minutes, and charging up to 80% in 15 minutes, enabling the 20-25 flights per aircraft per day planned across Lilium’s global vertiport network.
Germany and Sweden are world leaders when it comes to real-world studies on electric roads. On Gotland, the world's first wireless e-road has been finished.
Electric roads are one of the studied technologies in the race to decarbonise heavy traffic and within a few years the first commercial electric road could be a reality. This will probably happen in Sweden or Germany.
Traffic and transport account for more than a quarter of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, which makes it necessary to phase out fossil fuels. Today, the proportion of electric vehicles is rapidly increasing and charging networks such as Vattenfall InCharge are being expanded at an ever faster pace.
